I got a question...Im debating on the chair sashes or not. The chairs we use for our ceremony will than be moved to use for our reception. There are other lounging furniture for our guests in between aka cocktail hour.

I was thinking of just doing the sashes on the back row with starfish on them....than I thought maybe thats silly for an hour. So maybe I should put sashes on all of them.

What do you think?

Ericka - Just want to tell you how beautiful you look in your dress. Simple but elegant. Just lovely.

Melissa - I was debating the sashes too and then decided against them. I've got too much to worry about without wondering about what the chairs are going too look like. My decission was easy once I realised that they would get wrinkled in transit and might need to be ironed before being put on the chair. I don't iron anything so I decided against them. :-)

Hahaha, thanks, SgtPepperette, but you give me too much credit! lol, I went into full on meltdown mode last night! My fiance told me that same as you, 'breathe'. We went through the to do list and put it all into perspective and I'm feeling a bit less overwhelmed now. We've got company coming this weekend, so I'll have at least one recruit for helping me with the DIY projects I've got left.

The dress looks great, Ericka!

No chair sashes for me. I already can't figure out how all my OOT bag stuff is getting to Mexico! lol

I don't know if this is an option but this is what we're doing. We're getting a school bus to transfer everyone from their homes to the airport and back again. We're getting picked up first and as we pick up more people we're going to give them their OOT bags then. That gives people about an hour to go through them shuffle things around and pack up their oot bags.

That's a great idea, Kiera! Unfortunately, we've got people coming from all over, and even the ppl flying out of the same airport are on several different flights! ERG! I was under the impression that some of our guests who are on another airline get more for baggage allowance, and was planning to send some with them, but I've recently found out that is not the case at all. sad.gif

I've been reserving peoples carry on bags left and right! lol, I think we'll be able to make it work... I hope!!

Melissa-I don't feel like a superwomen. I feel like I'm going to get ready to crack at any moment. We get our furniture delivered today so that is one less thing that I have to worry about!

Erika-Your dress looks great!!! And I'm glad that your recovery is coming along! You will be 100% before you know it.

I had my fitting last night and there are only minor alterations that need to be done. Which is good thing since the seamstress is only going to charge me $50!!!

I was wondering if everyone has finalized the music selection. If so, do you mind sharing your playlist?

Thanks,

Jess

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
