Melissa-I'm sure your dress will be fine if you ordered it with customer measurements. I would contact an alterations store to put them on alert though in case there are some last minute minor changes. That way you aren't running around all crazy.

 

Ashley-I actually had my credit card company start declining charges because of all the online ordering I've done this last couple weeks lol. I had to call and assure them it was all intentional since the small amounts to lots of different places were out of character for me. I appreciate they're looking out for me though.

 

Anyone else had that problem with ordering stuff?

 

 

 

I had a great time with my mom last weekend. She's hemming the edge of the material I'm going to drape over my bamboo pillars for me. As much as I like the free flowing look of the fabric having no hem is causing it to self destruct every time I mess with it-which is all the time :-) It's time consuming but she's thrilled to be able to help with a "wedding project".

 

We also went to the craft store and bought some pearly beaded strands (I'll post pictures soon) and dyed them with an alcohol based dye to match the wedding colors. I put some ribbon in with them to tie on some little table ornaments we got.

 

Some of this is really spontaneous stuff considering I don't even know how much the resort will allow me to decorate and if we'll even get a reception other than signing the documents. But we're going to bring it all with us and find somewhere to add it in. Our group is too small to have a private room but even a table reserved in the corner of the nice restaurant would make me happy and I imagine we could drape a couple things and add our name plates and chair sashes. Either way my Mom and I are having a great time with the projects and if we don't get to use them it will be ok-the memories are worth it.

YAY! The photog I wanted worked in our date and my contract is on its way :) Why did the minute he says lets move this forward...I thought maybe I should of went with the other girl. Am I the only one that second guesses everything?! I drive myself batty sometimes. Im sure he will be awesome. Or else I would stalk his blog. :P

Congrats EDR Bride. I have my 2nd fitting next week. I can't wait to see what they've done to hide my 36Gs in my sweetheart neckline gown hahaha... Note to self; never get another sweetheart neckline gown w/o a reduction hahha.

My grandma (we call her Toots) called me this morning to tell me that she ordered my wedding jewelry. And she purchased earrings for my girls (i had already purchased their starfish necklaces). I was so happy one more thing off my list. She also came up with this crazy idea for my centerpieces where she's somehow gluing starfish to sticks that will hang out a vase with possibly one flower in them hahaha. I can't wait to see these things. I really don't care how they look bc she's very creative and I trust her, but I have to say this sounds weird.

Tomm I will start taking pictures of my stuff for my planning thread.

Vikki I haven't had that issue with the bank. Mainly bc I'm a shopaholic so this is nothing new for me haha.

Hey all you November brides!!! This is my first post, sorry for taking so long to get on here :) My wedding is planned for 11/11/09 at Dreams Tulum. My ceremony time is 2pm... I'm a little worried the sun will be too blinding at this time of day. Is anyone else having this issue?!?

 

p.s. Is anyone just now starting to freak out about this whole "when you get there everything will fall into place" thing!!! I want it to fall into place now!!!

I'm just now starting to freak out. Not about the "everything will fall into place" bit but the "I'm getting married in a little over a month" bit. I just can't believe that it's been 7 years together and nearly 2 years of being engaged and we're only 40 some odd days off the biggest day of our lives. AHHHHH!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
