Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Wow, I don't know whether to be happy or freaked out that I found this thread...I am so far behind in planning! We have been so busy selling my house and moving to FI's house that we kind of forgot about planning the wedding. I guess it's a good thing we are both pretty laid back about it. This thread has me motivated though, thanks!!

Lolo - I guess you can consider it a good thing that you haven't done much yet. It will be really busy but it's still going to be a ton of fun. For me we started so long ago that I feel like I've been planning forever and I haven't even really started discussions with the resort. The waiting game is not one that I normally play but this time, no choice.

Good luck with everything!

Well I started planning in Nov but didn't get engaged until Jan. But I cannot wait for this to be over (the planning and paying etc). I told my WC the other day that I wante everything done (besides payments) by the end of August, so that I can relax the last few months. I mean clearly there will be things to do but hopefully everything will be organized.my Wedding To do Calendar is getting shorter and shorter... So excited!!!

Thanks! I feel like the resort I'm going to does so many weddings that most will just be taken care of. Maybe I'm being a little to laid back! I am starting on OOT bags now though, but it is hard to plan as I think we'll have some last minute additions to the trip. I had just been so stressed about getting my house sold, it is so nice to be able to finally focus on the wedding!

Jess- your dreams WC can get you what ever linens you need, they also have many colors in house and they do not charge much to upgrade from standard white.

I am using the white but I am doing mostly white and ivory together with hints of my blue and green colors.

Thanks Erica!!! I've had a hard time dealing with my WC because she takes forever to get back to me.

*UPDATE* I have decided that I am NOT a do it yourself-er.... I gave up after about 2 hrs.... I decided to upload our monogram on Zazzle and print them that way!!! It's actually cheaper than Vista Print and not much more than doing them myself!! I'm all about what's the easiest at this point in the game :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
