Hi everyone! I am so glad to find this thread! I was just freaking out this morning that I had no idea what I was suppose to be doing 6 months from the wedding! We are getting married Nov 6,2009 at Majestic Colonial in Dominican Republic. Here is what is going on with me:

Things that are done:

-Wedding dress is bought (actually ordered online from Neiman Marcus and not technically a wedding dress but GORGEOUS and simple)

-Rooms and flight book for me and future hubs

-STDs sent out in Jan

-Most of my immediate fam and best friends have booked (or at least reserved a room)

-Wedding website is up

Things to do:

-find invitations

-find something for future hubs to wear

-correspond with resort about flowers, cake, reception (all of which i have no idea about)

-find a veil

-start buying OOT bags

-figure out how to get married at the courthouse before hand

-ceremony music?

-photographer?

-wedding colors?

-stop stressing about how long my to do list is

It helps to read what you ladies are up to!

OK last night I started what I thought would be the daunting task of doing my DIY travel mugs. But actually it wasn't. I cut all the paper and I cut out over 50 sticker monogram circles (while watching Golden Girls of course) now tonight I just have to start putting everything together. I'll prolly get FI to help me either put the monograms on the paper or insert the paper into the mugs. He was really helpful tying ribbon for my homemade soaps lol (he'd die if he knew I told you all he helps me with the wedding DIY projects haha).

We picked the invites last night. I have to tell you very little is the way I originally pictured it. But I'm lovin' none the less! Still working on the dress thing. Ans am a little upset because I gave my MOH cart blanch ( I think that is how you spell it) as far as the dress goes. I showed her the color I want about 2 months ago and she has found nothing. I hate waiting!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
