In response to ppl wanting to use Travelocity etc. (First off I have a cruise wedding and we are booking with a Carnival PVP) I told ppl that they have to book with us in order to be linked together for dinner etc, but if they wanted to check the price on another sites feel free to do so then take that price to our PVP bc she could def beat it or show you how that really isn't the correct price.

Ok in regard to using a TA like I just stated we booked our cruise with a Carnival PVP. Carnival is able to schedule flights etc if needed. However I don't think they pick the best flights so I got us a group deal through Air tran airways. I am also working with an on island WC.

At this point ur locked in to a contract so don't sweat it. Especially if you're content with the prices and accommodations you're receiving. I don't think a TA was necessary for us. We actually have 2 TAs going on the cruise with us lol (def caused a bit of tension, being that I didn't use them, but ultimately I tried using them in the past and was more confident working with my pvp and finding my own flights).

U'll be fine. But if you have any questions why don't you talk with one of the TA/Moderators on this site. I'm sure they'd be able to answer your questions. They are always a great resource.

Hello, I am getting married Nov. 12/09 at the Barcelo Tropical in the Mayan Riveria. I have my dress and the bridesmaids dresses but really that is it. The men's outfits are causing me heart ache as I want them in casualwear, but don't want to spend US $$ does anyone know of any canadian locations for casual wedding wear or even canadian websites?

thanks,

Tamasin

THANKS!!!! I feel better now :) The expedia rates end up being about $16.00 cheaper and it doesn't include the free transportation to and from the airport that my hotel is offering. Expedia charges $50.00 per couple.......

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
