Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I just booked my wedding week, so I too am a November 2009 Bride! We're going to the Grand Palladium Colonial from November 15-22, but the wedding date is still to be confirmed. We're going to spend a second honeymoon week at a different resort but haven't decided on that yet - maybe the EDR?

Great thread!

Good luck in all your planning everyone!

Welcome & congrats! I'm travelling the exact same week! We are getting married at the Azul Sensatori on the 20th. and honeymooning the second week at the EDR as well! We'll have to have a margarita to celebrate our new-found wedded status!

Hi ladies!

I'm just back from 2 weeks in Vietnam/Thailand (a great place for Honeymooning fyi) and am catching up on the forum. It was kind of nice to not do anything wedding related for 2 whole weeks! However, we've officially moved our wedding from the Azul Fives to the Sensatori on November 21st - yea, finally done with that at least.

Beachbride2009 and EDRbride2009 - our colors are turquoise and chocolate brown too. Maybe I can join you in decor coordination? We're planning to arrive at the Sensatori on Nov. 16th.

Hey leannebv...I didn't get a PM from you, but yes, he is interested in working another wedding if possible!

Hoosier fan...this would work out great! We arrive at AS on the 15th, wedding is on the 20th, yours is the 21st, then EDRBride is the 26th!

So far I am planning turquoise Chinese lanterns for the reception tables, plus small lanterns on the little tables in the "lounge" area between the dance area and the dinner area. I priced out making chair bows but it didn't really work out to be any better than renting them. I'm also thinking about going to Walmart and buying tiki torches there instead of renting them for the ridiculous price they charge so we could always share costs on that too?

Keep in touch you two!

Hey ladies!

This is great! We will definitely all have to keep in touch. And since it looks like there will be a few of us at EDR at the same time, we'll have to make sure we get together for a margarita or two!

I haven't made a lot of progress in the decorations area yet, but I will keep you updated.

Thanks, and keep in touch!!!

I've heard the weather in November is beautiful - it is the end of hurricane season, though, which likely means a higher chance of scattered rain showers during the day. The one thing I'd recommend though is checking the sunset schedule - the sun sets around 5-5:30pm during November and then it can get chilly/windy, so if you're planning an outdoor ceremony and you want pictures afterward, you may want to schedule your ceremony for mid-afternoon vs. evening (just a lesson I learned in my planning!). Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
