Thank goodness you had me ask my WC about photographers! She informs me that the original person we booked forgot and booked another wedding in Thailand around the same time!!!! Argh!!!! Luckily, she found us another photographer, Javon Longieliere. He will also be in France during the time of our wedding and has agreed to do our photos. He also did our WC's daughter's wedding so if she thinks he's good enough for her own daughter, he must be all right. His website is Javon Longieliere Photography 770-715-4410 Atlanta Valdosta Destination Georgia.

Unfortunately, she didn't have any photographers who were local. The other photographer she uses is Duncan Kerridge and he is from England. His website is Duncan Kerridge Photography.

Sorry I couldn't find more info.

Phew, that was lucky! Glad you sorted it out though. Thanks for the 2 reccommendations. Have since spoke to the lady that owns the chateau where our venue is and she has emailed some photographer details.

I am happy to have found this thread! Is anyone getting married in Spain or Portugal?  I have just begun my wedding planning and my fiance's ENTIRE family lives in Bulgaria.  We are comparing a destination wedding in Portugal or Spain vs. USA.  Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated.

Hi brides to be!

Don't know if anyone is considering Italy. . .Today is our five year wedding anniversary and we were just talking about our unforgettable experience in Italy and I wanted to share it with others in the States who may be looking for a hassle-free wedding and beautiful locale in Italy.

We had our worries about planning a wedding long distance but we wanted something affordable and memorable close to Venice. I contacted some wedding planning services but the price tags were $10,000+. Thankfully, we found Villa Luppis through military family stationed nearby at Aviano Air Force Base.

From the start, the Villa Luppis staff communicated color, food, cake, seating, and music options via email and mail. They speak fluent English. We had nearly 50 guests fly from the States and stay at the Villa.  Everyone was floored by the fairytale setting- Napoleon Bonaparte's summer home- and beautiful grounds and fountains.  It's picture perfect. We felt like royalty and so did our guests.  We had a 7 course meal (yes 7!) and it was the highest quality cuisine- think Top Chef- from stuffed conch shells to truffle pasta.  Servers served the wine and food- which in the US is unheard of unless you pay top dollar.  Our wedding was a fraction of the price it would have been in the States.  Food and wine doesn't carry the price tag in Italy as it does in the States and we were out of the door under $5,000.  I can't say enough good things and I just wish I could get the word out to others in the States looking for a hassle-free, unforgettable wedding.

You can search for their website and contact them- it is definitely an option worth considering.

Best wishes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
