Ceremony program..??? Need help/advice asap :)

Recommended Posts

OK..

so I'm trying to put my ceremony program together to send it to my invitation lady, but I'm at lost as to where to start. We're having 10-12 guests, I'm having my 2 bestfriends be my bridesmaids NO MOH, because my MOH who was suppose to be my sister can't make it, because of her money situation... sad.gif My fiance probably won't have any groomsmen because his guys can't make it either also due to money issues... sad.gif And to top it all off...my dad can't make it now either... sad.gif

So should I put a "Wedding Party" on the Program?

I feel like I should list my 2 bridesmaids names somehow..but howhuh.gif

I want a sand ceremony, and a blessing of the stone segment at the end too.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!

We decided not to do a ceremony program... we have a small group attending and we only have a maid of honour and best man... we will also be doing the sand ceremony.

We will be verbally thanking everyone by name at the reception.

I know that doesn't help with your request on how to do the program, but I just wanted to let you know what we chose to do...

You can absolutely still do a wedding party portion, why not? You are recognizing those that are standing up for you at the wedding.

I would just list it all out..

Start with a list of bridal party; then go into readings (if you have them) and detail the steps of the ceremony in order.

Here are a couple things I found when I just did a quick google search-

Gee..Thanks so much for those website links..that was just what I needed.

Also, I was wondering would it be silly to list only our parents names on there?

After all, they have helped us so much throughout our lives. I wish I could find a passage that will somehow recognize these individuals whole are VERY close to us, who haven't deceased, but just couldn't be there with us that day.

HMMM...

This is what I did - I made our programs myself, so they were pretty simple, but we also only had 2 BMs and no groomsman.

Thanks you guys!!!

Well, here is what I cam up with so far...

please comment!!! Did I leave anything out? Is it too much?

By the way, what is a Prelude?

And where it says "Processional"...is this the song in which my bridesmaids walk down the aisle to?

Do I, THE BRIDE, need a separate processional?

"Recessional" is the song me and hubby will use to walk back down the aisle to... correct?

Should I list the names of these songs and the song artist?

Dreamgirl - this looks nice :) I don't think you have left anything out.

If you want to you can list the minister if he/she is important as well, but that's not necessary.

Ours was really short and brief because I wanted it to fit onto a small piece of paper. Also, I didn't know what our music would be until after I printed them all up!

Prelude: is the music that is playing while guests are getting settled into their seats.

Processional: is usually the music that the bride walks down to. In our case, my BMs and I ended up walking down to the same song (Book of Love by Peter Gabriel). I thought that would be weird, but it ended up being perfect for us. :)

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
