Am I the only diva doing a dress change?

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else wearing a different dress for their reception?

I orginally bought a very cool, but not traditional, wedding dress. Then I fell in love recently with a more traditional dress and cha-ching, in teh swipe of a debit card it was mine!!

I still loved dress #1 and didn't want to totally ditch it, so I decided to wear it to the reception, especially since it would be more practical for me to move around in (my reception is also going to be on the sand at a beach site).

I feel like such a diva doing a wardrobe change!!

I seriously considered it. About a month out from my wedding I started to doubt my gown and almost bought a simpler gown for the reception.

I'm glad i didn't. I got tons of compliments on it, and it was really comfortable. I had shoes that I never bothered to put on so I am sure that I wouldn't have fared much better with another dress wink.gif

too busy partying!

Jessica; you and Jamy are NOT DIVAS! You are the Bride with a vision of how you want to look for your wedding day - nothing is wrong with that. I think that's awesome you have 2 dresses, I wish my budget allotted me more $ for a second dress too. hehehe then I could have a sexy dress and a more traditional dress.

I am doing a change, but there's about 6 hours between wedding and reception. I have a way more casual dress for my reception.

Actually, come to think of it, I might NOT be doing a change since my wedding dressmaker is MIA with 2 months to go before I get married! Yikes.

My dressmaker was MIA last month too but it all worked out, they don't want to face the wrath of an angry bride! Hope you find her soon!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
