Lauren--I can't stop looking @ the pics! Everything is SO pretty!! So I have a few more questions to bug you with:

-LOVE the candles lining the cliff's edge. Did you bring these with you, or did MDC provide them? If you brought them, how many did you use?

-How many lanterns did you bring with you to decorate the dance floor?

-If I were to buy one of those "wedding this way" signs (do you know what I'm talking about?), which way should I have the arrow pointing? I'm having a hard time determining from pics where a good place to place the sign would be in respect to the main walkway to the gazebo. I'm thinking I want the arrow pointing left...do you think this is correct? Sorry if this is a REALLY odd question lol.

Thanks a bunch!! :-)

Hello ladies,

I am back from Jamaica. Unfortunately I cannot say it was a great trip as my ex fiance let cold feet overtake him- yes, no wedding. However, I really wanted to let you guys know what a BEAUTIFUL place this is. As despressed as I am, I figured I could give someone some good news!

Do not be put off by the drive from the airport to the hotel- it ended up being a hot and bumpy two hours. Once we got to the resort they were waiting for us with cold towels and rum punch. Check in is flawless. After I told the staff my delima they were all sincerely apologetic. Each and everyone one of them came to me at some point to offer apologies and ask if they could do anything for me. They threw me a party on the night that was to be the ceremony. The staff is great, the grounds are gorgeous. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. Granted I do not have any wedding pictures, but I do have pictures if anyone would like to see.

@Mallory- I don't know what kind of candles are lining the edge in Lauren's pictures but they did provide candles (shaped like lanterns) around the cliffs.

hopefully this puts some of your worries to rest.

Dreamstar224, I'm so sorry to hear that. Did you go to Jamaica by yourself or with your family and friends anyway? That's nice that MDC had a party for you anyway. Being in Jamaica is reason alone to have a great time! And yes, I would still love to see your photos of the resort :)

Dreamstar, I am really sadden about what happened, but trust, this, its better to have happened now, then later. I hope that you had some time to reflect when you were in Jamaica and know that your love is out there, and in time you will find him and know you were blessed.

This journey called life sometimes come with stumbles, but you will be fine. Stay strong.

Best wishes.

Dreamstar,

I am SO SO sorry to hear this :-( I'm glad the people at the resort were good to you and threw you a party...you deserve it. I know it's hard to believe during times like these, but everything happens for a reason. You know the BDW girls are always here if you need to vent!! Hang in there girl, *hugs*

Can anyone give me a breakdown of what it would cost for a wedding of let's say 50-60 guests to be safe? I don't want the guests to have to pay for the reception so do they offer any other packages like most of the other resorts? If not, I may have to pass on Moondance as much as I love them! I want to stay well under $10K since we are also having an AHR. Thanks!

First let me say, Dreamstar I was so sad to read your posting. I really can't imagine how that must have been for you. I am proud of you for still going to Jamaica and trying to make the best of it.

Mallory -

- I am so happy you are enjoying the pictures!

- The little lanterns along the edge belong to Moon Dance. I had no idea they were going to have those. The tea light candles were ours, they put them on the tables and also on the edges. I brought at least 55 of them - I ordered them online and they came with the tea light candles and the glass candle holders. Probably didn't need so many! I left all of the glass holders with Kerry hoping she would let you guys use them and then you only have to bring the candles, which is much easier for travel.

- The red bubble lanterns that are hanging around the dance floor - I brought 20 I think. I don't think they used all of them. But I thought they were a great touch. I ordered them on the knot store and they were really cheap. I also left these with Kerry in case anyone's color is red!

- For your sign, there are many places you could put it depending on where most of your guests are staying. If you want it along the walkway where you can see the groomsmen and groom walking in the pics then yes I would have it pointing left. That will be so cute!

Keep asking if I can help with anything else. I will keep adding pics as my friends send them to me!

Hi ladies!

First let me say that I am so sorry this happened to you Dreamstar. As everyone else has said, things happen for a reason and you will get through this and find the true person you are meant to be with!

I'm new to this site and am enjoying reading everyone's comments about Moon Dance Cliffs. Our wedding is in November and even though I can never get Kerry to respond to an email it is quite refreshing to hear that once it's your wedding weekend they truly take care of you. Since I haven't posted enough times to actually see any photos, I would love to see them if anyone has the time to send them to me in an email.

Thanks and look forward to chatting will all of you moving forward!

Gina

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
