no none of those are mine..i really did not take a lot of photos! but my friends did so i have been waiting on getting those. what kind of theme are you thinking about? i went pretty simple..too be honest the place is so beautiful it does not need a lot to make it better. the gazebo is so romantic..kerry will even tell you that you dont need to put that much into it. i just did 2 floral sprays on the sides, and than some flowers on the ends of every other row of chairs. we used floral fantasy and their flowers were beautiful! and they lasted too..we had my bouquet and some the other ones in our villa all week after that. my favorite color is orange, so that was the main color of flowers, and my girls wore navy dresses. i will see how i can get you some photos..you can become my fb friend if you like.

I want simple too... I already told Kerry I didnt want any gazebo decorations because it just looked so beautiful as is.... and to be honest I thought cutting costs there would be less noticeable...   We booked with Floral Fantasies as well; they were super great when I met with them.  I told them simple and modern, and I loved the orchid arrangement they came up with for the reception.  We are doing mento band for rehearsal dinner, steel band for ceremony/cocktail hour, and Sound Illusion DJ for reception.  What did you choose for entertainment, and were you happy?  Kerry told me to pick my songs for the ceremony, and I am struggling to decide with what typical "wedding" music will sound good on a steel pan, or whether I just do something totally non-traditional with the music selections.  I wish there was a playlist for them. Has anyone seen such a list?

i think its a good place to cut costs wit no flowers on the gazebo, it reallyis great on its own. as for music at the rehearsal dinner one of the staff members hooked up his ipod for us and it was great! we got the steel drum for cocktail hour and sound illusion for the reception. they both were really good. i did orchid arrangements too..they were beautiful!! kerry actually sent me a list for the steel drum band, ask her for it or i can send you it too. also if you go onto itunes and just search steel drum music it will give you some ideas. as for photographer we went with sungold, and with an associate romeo. he was so good!! highly recommend. he even let us see shots as he was taking them. if you guys need anything else just holler!! and trust me everything is gonna go great..kerry is amazing!!!

Sounds like a ton of people are upset.  Let me give you a little perspective ladies.

Was married on may 22nd last year at mdc.

took the entire resort for 4+ days and had people stay at grand pineapple for 4+ days.

Wedding was amazing even though what we thought was somewhat difficult in preparing from new york.

Regarding the tent- GET IT.  It saved our wedding reception due to the train which unfortunately is unpredictable.

As for the all inclusive package- GET IT.  Although it may seem expensive up front- it is more than worth it for each guest.  No matter how you figure out who is paying- it is worth it in terms of quality, cost, and peace of mind.

Lastly- don't mess with Kerry.  She was the best, is the best, and will always be the best in terms of planning and executing your wedding.  Have faith in her.  We did.

It turned out better than we ever expected.

Good luck and "take it easy"

Hi ladies!!!!

After an entire month, I finally have a few pics to share from my wedding.

My flowers were done by Floral Fantasies.  I gave her my budget and colors; she did the rest.  Cake by Noida.  My friend is a cake designer, so she did the flowers and we brought them with us. I hired a photographer from VA and paid for his trip.  Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything.  I promise you that your wedding will be the best experience ever!!!!

Robin

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
