Hi Ladies,

Has anyone had both their rehearsal dinner AND reception at MDC? We are doing that and seeing as they don't have a TON of menu options for two dinners, I'm wondering how others who did this found the experience? Did any of you set your own unique menu for the rehearsal dinner (i.e. BBQ themed? or some other theme?)? I'd be interested in hearing all about that as well!

Thanks!

Nicole

We're going with rectangular tables because we like the look and think they'd make including everyone conversations easier. I think both setups are gorgeous and you wouldn't go wrong with the round ones.  Let me know what you decide!

Brand new to the post... wedding booked for December 10, 2011.  So far Kerry has been great; but it was nice to see recommendations for other vendors (like the DJ).

Did anyone use a steel drum band during their wedding?  If so, any recommendations?

Also, for those that have had the wedding there, if you do not order the round tables, are you still charged for the rectangle tables?

Finally... and sorry for all the questions but the planning is just beginning.... if you do your rehearsal dinner on-site, do you know whether the restaurant does anything special or charges anything else, or is is just part of the all-inclusive option?  We are doing a resort takeover, so the only people in the hotel for the 3 days will be our wedding guests.

AND for those that want to send me pictures, I would LOVE to see some since I cannot view them through the forum yet.

Thanks!

We are going to do a "head table" with rectangular tables for the bridal party.  The rest of the tables for the other guests will be round tables.  I agree with your reasoning and so we're going with the best of both worlds!

So many questions as I begin the planning process!  I will go back and research the thread, BUT for those of you recently married at Moon Dance Cliffs, what photographer did you use?  I loved Saab Photography, and then I got his price list.  I am hoping to find something a bit less expensive.

Thanks in advance for any input!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
