I am doing the AI plan for the 3 days of the wedding festivities; but I think some of my guests are booking the european plan for before/after the official wedding booking.  I think with the AI, its easier for the wedding because you dont have to worry about bar costs, etc.

I am still waiting to see the new menu from the new chef... anyone here anything yet?

I totally agree, Jackie. Iâ€m doing AI as well. I have some guests that mentioned that they couldnâ€t afford MDC and were thinking about staying about staying a nearby non AI place though. Perhaps having the European option would allow us all to stay at the same place.

Kerry hasnâ€t sent me the new menu yet either.

So Kerry told me she is busy getting ready for the October 2010 weddings... Is anyone on this forum one of those brides?  If so, hope you can post pictures to provide inspiration for the rest of us!  I am at a loss of how to set up everything for the reception.

Also, has anyone done the rehearsal dinner at MDC?  If so, how did you make it differant from the wedding reception dinner?

  • 2 weeks later...

well there are a total of 34 rooms available, 36 including  you two. the price will vary depending on if you go off season or not. then there are villas and rooms. and they now do a european plan as well not just the inclusive. check out their website for pricing. we will be taking it over from april 20th til the 25th..cant wait!

I emailed Kerry right away.  She said brides who have booked prior to that being posted wont be required to get the tent.  I imagine that will be a HUGE deterrent for other brides...I know I definitely would have completely crossed MDC off my list of possibilities when I was looking if that was there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
