Wow that's interesting! From Calgary for 1 week was $2367 and 2 weeks was $3512. We booked through itravel 2000 but sunquest is the provider and nothing has been mentioned to us. We have 70 booked. We might have to dig into that a little further or do you think your aunt just pulled some strings with her connections?

Sloan - we only have about 16 people coming so we want to keep it really simple as well. We will just do dinner at the restaurant as well, maybe a simple bar thing after dinner. Are you doing anything like after dinner or are you just going to go out around the resort?

When you bring your own flower, centerpieces, decorations, etc., do you mail everything to the resort/wedding coordinator beforehand or do you have to travel with all that stuff?

Were getting married at Beaches Negril and have the free wedding package also. We might upgrade on a few things, but were still not sure. Were only leaving in January 2010 so we still have a lot of time to figure those details out. But it's great reading all of the other posts to give me an idea on what additional costs are out there! We will have approx. 20-30 people travelling with us. Our TA told us about the free travel if you booked a certain number of rooms, but when we got our prices back we realized that it was cheaper when you booked with Air Canada.

Good luck with all of your planning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
