Okay... so I have been keeping myself up at night the last few nights stressing over our flights. We originally had booked direct airfare through a TA and had issues basically the whole time with our agent. When Sandals did their 60% off deal we had to jump on it as it was a savings of over 2k from what we were paying through the agent who didn't treat us well anyway.

Fast forward to booking directly through Sandals.com. We are leaving Pittsburgh March 21st at 5:30 am and have a layover in Philadelphia before we head to MB. The layover is only 55 minutes! If we are delayed even slightly we may miss our flight. I am so concerned that we won't make it or be able to retrieve all of our luggage or if we get to Sandals late we can't keep our wedding date because of the whole 48 hour rule.

Am I over-reacting. I need someone who flies frequently to tell me that it will all be okay and we should have enough time to deplane, retrieve our luggage and get on the 2nd flight. Ack!

If you're using the same airline from Pittsburgh to your final destination, you don't have to get your luggage. It's registered until the end and you just have to deplane and re-board. sometimes the luggage doesn't make it but it's usually there the next day. Take your dress and FI's attire with you as a carry-on :)

You will be fine!!!! You are just thinking about it too much! People get through Atlanta in 55 minutes, and you'll be in Philly! Don't worry! I used to work for an airline, and honestly it takes 20 minutes at most to unload your bags, transfer them, and load them on your connection. Plus your connecting flight can tell who is late, and if your only a few minutes late they usually wait.

Thank you both! We are flying US Airways both flights so thank you for letting me know we don't have to get the luggage. That's a huge stress reliever. And I've heard Atlanta's airport is a nightmare so if it can be done there than I feel much better about Philly.

It's weird how posts get doubles in this thread ? Anyway Atlanta is no more Nightmare than any other big airport. I'ts big but actually easy. If you have to change concourses, there's an automated train between concourses. Really, pretty easy. If you want you can try to familiarize yourself with the airport already... I stressed about our flight too but everything on the way down turned out great! In fact we even got in about 1/2 hour earlier than expect. I know on the way home we waited on another flight to get in to take off so I am sure they will wait on your flight. There are usually several people flying from the same place to the same place so they would not be waiting on just you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
