I think you will be fine, it seems like the airlines build in extra time to their flights now. we flew a couple of months ago and we left at the scheduled time but got there 20-30 early for all four 4 flights (had 1 layover each way).

I made a 35 minute layover in Philly and that included a bus ride to change terminals. We were running, but it worked out.

Since you'll have your wedding dress with you, I would just ask the flight attendant if you could get off the plane first if you're delayed at all. Let her know that your wedding is waiting for you!

If it was me and I was stressing that bad I would book a flight to Philadelphia the night before and spend the night. This way you know you won't miss the flight. I have done this a few times. I have booked cruises in January and then stressed out that we would have a snow storm and I would miss the ship. More money but I wasn't stressed.

55 minutes is the norm for connections these days. I fly almost weekly and I rarely have a problem with that connection time. If I do miss the connection, I really miss it (by several hours due to something crazy with the first flight). I would suggest you check the US airways schedule from Philly to your destination and write down the flight numbers and times of the later flights. Then if you happen to miss the connection you can go to the guest services desk armed with that info. If the line is long because many other passengers missed their connection, call the US Air 800 number while you stand in line and you might be able to beat those in line in front of you to the seats on the next flight out.

Also, when you check in for your first flight ask for bulk head seats if you are flying coach. These are the first row of the plane and you will deplane earlier than if you are in the back. They save these bulk head seats for assignment the day of the flight. If they aren't available just ask to be moved as close as possible to the front of the plane because you are concerned about making your connection.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
