Getting Married on Carnival Inspiration Oct.1!

Hi everyone,

I'm very excited about finding this forum! I heard about it on a cruise forum, and am mostly hoping to find and share ideas about do-it-yourself wedding projects. Since I'm getting married on a cruise ship (Carnival Inspiration Oct.1) and they take care of most details, I don't feel like a have all that much left to do. Just the fun stuff!

I've never actually been on a cruise ship wedding so I'm not sure what to expect. So I guess I'm also looking forward to reading from others who might have a little experience in this area.

One thing I'm wondering is why there is no place on the bottom of this to add my signature...I tested it out in the "siggy testing" thread and it workd. I must be missing something...

Thanks! My fiance actually helped make it since I'm no good at those kinds of things and he didn't like what I came up with. I'm hoping to be able to use them to make labels for our gifts (like making personalized water bottles), and maybe even programs.

I like your weight loss ticker...I might go get one of those!

Congratulations. H2B and I worked as photographers onboard several ships for ca variety of cruise lines and covered loads of weddings between us.

You're right, most of the planning and organising is taken care of for you and its a relatively hassle free event.

Are you getting married onboard or at one of your destinations?

Overall the whole thing is short and sweet, with the emphasis on quality and service rather than individuality so be sure to take the time to think of some nice ways to personalise the whole thing.

If you need any more info i'll be glad to help if I can.

Best wishes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
