Now, Is there anything you need to do beforehand?
I think I read you shouldn't shave for 2 weeks before you go in for a Brazilian Wax? ANybody know of anything else in particular?
Wear loose clothes!!! You're not going to want anything touching you for at least 3-4 hours!! I would suggest loose cotton pants & no undies!!

Hey! So I'm very sad because I scheduled my first ever Brazilian for Thursday, February 12 (perfect timing, right before Valentine's Day!), and found out last night that i'm going to be on my period then! And I read somewhere that obviously you shouldn't do it during that time of the month, especially becaues if you did it would hurt more. So I really wanted to have it done by then though....and I'm wondering how long the hair needs to be in order to be waxable? Is it 1/4 inch? I'm wondering because I want to reschedule for this weekend, if possible, but have only stopped shaving for less than a week and I don't know if it will be enough growth by then. What do you ladies think?

It depends on how fast your hair grows, but I would say that it won't be long enough - sorry I don't think you should chance not getting a proper wax & still have to go through all the discomfort! But maybe if you're going to your regular waxer she would be honest with you & tell you that it's not long enough & come back in a week or two. Good luck!

So how long should the hair be to get a proper wax?
Would it be the same length for legs, underarms?

            Thank you,

I'm getting a Brazilian wax today for my BD pics on Saturday. I'm trying out Mercury Spa since I've heard great things about poetic wax on this forum. Here's to hoping it's less painful as promised!

Thanks! It doesn't cost much more than my regular waxer, so if there's a difference, it will definitely be worth it. I'll let you all know tomorrow!
