New growth after only a week? I thought it was supposed to last much longer. Does this mean that after a week you either have to start shaving again or go get another wax? How long do people typically wait in between waxings? I'm thinking about getting my first Brazilian done next month and I'm super nervous!!

Well...it's been 2 weeks since my brazilian and I am barely starting to show. I have to go weekly or every 10 days for my underarms. But I will go 4-6 weeks for my legs. It all depends on how long you have been waxing for, how fast your hair grows & how dark your hair is. Also, keep in mind that when it starts to grow back it's not like when you shave & it grows back - it is softer, finer & they don't all grow back all at once & at the same speed. It's not like a stubble! I will also tweeze a few hairs if they are missed, or grow back quicker.

I would do it a few days beforehand. It might still be red the next day. Give it at least a few days to heal, and then you should be super smooth.

Hey Jen, I was just at a wedding at Gran Bahia, Akumal....it was beautiful!!!

Anyhow back to the waxing...you also need to stay out of the sun for about 24 hours or so after and I was warned not to tan within 24 hours prior to the appt as there is a chance the skin will be more sensitive and you can get a scab. It's rare and likely won't happen but it's good to be aware of these kinds of things before you go in for your appt.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
