Do you have bridesmaids?!? I'm torn!

Recommended Posts

thanks you guys...

I think I really need to take my time on this one. I will wait a couple of months to decide whether we want attendants or not.. I just dont want to regret anything.

I've read about the bridesmaids horror stories.. I will definately think about this! LOL

I have 3 best friends that are being my bridesmaids. Now for groomsmen, my FI is having 7! That includes his 2 brothers, my brother, and then 4 close friends. Having bridesmaids was important to me and I know it was important to them too. The 4 of use have been through a lot. Needless to say since the numbers aren't even, they will not walk down the isle together.

We are having a bridal party. I am having 6 bridesmaids, my sister is my MOH and the rest are my cousins. FI is having 5 groomsmen, the bestman is my brother, one of his cousins, one of my cousins and 2 of his friends.

They will not be walking down together since its uneven but I really like the idea of the groomsmen up in front with FI and the bridesmaids walking down the aisle alone.

Do what makes you happy...dont have any regrets. Its a once in a lifetime special day.

Goodluck and keep us posted.

My best friend is my MOH and FI's brother is his BM. My 9 year old daughter is my flowergirl/junior bridesmaid/escort down the aisle. My father will walk me half way down the aisle where my daughter will meet me and walk me the rest of the way down to my FI where we plan to unite as a family. I didn't want a big wedding party but we do need witnesses so therefore planned to have one person each stand up for us.

I started out with 5 BM's, and I'm down to 2 today. It was more stressful trying to keep up with everyone to be in the wedding. The less people, the less stress. It's better that way. You shouldn't feel funny in any type of way either. It's your big day and whatever will make it more happy and memorable, go with that. Best of luck with your decision!

We have a wedding party - my sister is my MOH and I have three college friends as bridesmaids. FI has a BM and 1 groomsman. He originally had two, but one has backed out due to cost.

Really, it's an honorary thing - I live in Wisconsin and my maids live in Massachusetts, so we aren't really doing any of the typical stuff. I really just want them to show up in the right color and smile and have a great time! I've decided not have the groomsmen and maids wear matching colors either - the men are going to wear tan with teal and the maids will wear a bright pink color. I think it matches up nicely!

Yeah,

I'm still confused on what to do...luckily I have time on my side, so I will wait to make a final decision.

Something inside wants a ceremony with only me and future hubby...

I thought about having "honorary MOH and Bridesmaids" so that I could honor my sister and close friends. If I did this I would maybe let them dress in the same color or possibly even walk down the aisle, but sit down instead of standing... Is this awkward?

has anyone had "honorary" or no bridesmaids at all. how was your experiece?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
