Changing my BM Dresses (Pics!!!)

Hi Everyone,

 

So, FI and I decided this weekend that we weren't in love with the BM dresses our BM's picked out; they were too formal for our wedding and didn't fit with my dress.

 

So, I ordered the VS Convertible Dress in Chocolate. It came in today and myself plus one BM tried it on. Sorry, didn't take pics of her in it for all of you but we were at work in the ladies room. But she wore it with the straps right over the bust line twisted tightly, crossed across her back and wrapped around her waist so it mimicked the neckline of my dress. That being said, I am going to let them all decide how to wear them!

Ooh...My BM's also are wearing the convertable dress. We got the Sour Cherry and they are all going to wear them different ways :-) I think they are great :-)

Your other Dress was pretty too...But I know what you mean about being too formal and the best things about these dresses is they can totally wear them again to another function. These are not your average, one time wear, sit in the closet BM dress! :-)

I love that VS dress. I think it will look great with your dress too. It would be beautiful if the girls wore it tied differently, to show their own style. Great choice! The 1st one is really pretty too, but I see how it could be considered too fancy. I tried to stay very simple with my BM's as well...and guess what - your girls WILL wear that VS dress again!

I have been saying the same thing to my fam about this. I really think the regular BM dresses look too formal.

Both dresses were nice. I do like the VS dress better with your dress. I do have one suggestion. Try on your dress and have one of your bms try their dress on and stand next to eachother. The reason i said that is because those dresses look to have a little more material than your dress. Is it going to look like your BMs have too much dress on, compared to you? Just a thought.

I think you made the right choice. I love the VS dress - it's perfect for a DW! And it looks way more comfortable, especially for a wedding in the DR in August. I may have to check that dress out too...
