I will be booking my wedding soon at the Couples Negril. I just found out that they have changed there policy for outside vendors. They are now charging 500 for an outside photographer!!!!! I can't afford that!!! What I am going to do. I don't want the resort photographer, not the best pictures in my opinon.

What can I do, any suggestions? This is making me reconsider Couples!!

WOW! That's pretty steep.

Were you planning to hire someone in JA or bring a photog with you.

I got married at CSA under the old policy, but my understand was that as long as that person was a guest of the resort for 3 days or more you wouldn't have to pay any extra.

I would ask them if you still have to pay the fee if a guest of your wedding takes the photos for you. Explain it to them as a dear friend of yours is a pretty good photographer and they have graciously given their services to you as a wedding present. They will be staying at the resort and attending all wedding festivities. Do you still have to pay the fee? AKA... you fly in your new "best friend photographer" for your wedding and they take your photos.

I think those types of fees are more for if you hire a photographer from jamaica. I would double check with the resort.

All is now well. The photographer says she is paying half of the vendor fees. So I was able to convince my hubby to be that it wasn't so bad... So everything is now booked and we are laeving in 83 days...Now gotta find a dress!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
