The lady that owns the place ( at least I think she owns it) is Carla Schaefer. It has been very pleasant working with her. I have already ordered personalized koozies from this place and she has given me several options for bags with thermal transfer included (a professional transfer method that retains the integrity of more detailed logos ). Most of the bag prices including transfer has been between $3.17 - $3.85. The only bit of caution is, we need 50 of everything for our OOT bags and that may be a minimum for them.

BTW, If you want koozies, I think these are going to be a blast. We actually went a little overboard and ordered 200. We are going to give them out at all our showers. Our Koozies have our names, date, and Cancun, Mexico on one side and a Texas Longhorn (we are exes and most of our friends are big fans) with the quote "To have and to hold, and keep my beer cold" on the back. For us, this was perfect. We also ordered them in the schools color, Burnt Orange with white. Our wedding colors are orange, yellow and turquoise. FUN!! They ended up being right at a dollar a piece and will add a lot of fun to the trip and our showers.

I was trying to keep my costs at $10 per bag (including the bag), but there are just so many good ideas out there! We're cruising, so I'm doing one bag per cabin (and putting doubles of some items), except for in the cabins with singles (they each get their own bag).

So far I've only purchased...

Spanish Phrases for Dummies ($1 at Target)

Scented Hand Sanitizer ($1 from Bed Bath and Beyond)

I just made some custom postcards to put in the bags (from Zazzle.com), with a picture of Cozumel and text that says "Justin and Kimber's Wedding Cruise to Cozumel, October 1, 2009". I haven't decided yet if I should order them but they're about 80 cents each which seems like a good deal.

Right now I think I'm also adding...

First Aid Kits ($1 from Dollar Store)

Maps of Cozumel (still looking)

Playing Cards ($8 for 12 at Oriental Trading Company)

Personalized travel mug or cup (I might just make my own due to cost)

gum

post-it notes

tissues

Personalized bottles of water (still figuring out the best way to do this)

Suduko/word puzzles

pen

Possilbe Items...

"Wedding Party" Coozies ($8 per dozen on OTC)

Chapstick

Coin purse/Room Key holder (from OTC)

Okay, so I guess I have some serious cutting down to do if I'm going to stick within my budget!

Postcards are free from vistaprint, go to vistaprint.com/yousave and you can get 100 for free, you can upload your own image usually 1/2 price so it is 2.49 to upload an image, or use one of theirs, you can search what they have in categories or select one then go to advanced editing, right click, replace image, search our image library, and type in whatever item you want and something will probably be there :)

Thanks Megan!

I've been using vistaprint for other free things but the free postcards haven't been showing. I guess you have to go to the vistaprint.com/save in order to see them. I just ordered 100 and paid around $10 (for shipping, and an extra fee for adding my own image). Still way cheaper than doing it the other way for sure!

Great tip! :)

I'm planning on keeping my OOT bags to $20 or less. We will have about 50 bags. Right now, I found a canvas beach tote (personalized with logo) for $4.50 , got shower gel for $1, still need to get other stuff...I think its pretty reasonable. I think it's really important to give the OOT to show my guests a token of how much we appreciate their effort to be at our wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
