Favors for everyone??Children too?

Recommended Posts

I am stuck on a few things regarding wedding favaors. I am thinking of doing starfish winestoppers. Would you just give one to each couple instead of each person? Is there really a need for both to have one? I am actually debating the idea of the winestopper too. We actually love wine but I know that it wouldn't be suitable for every guest (about 20 people) because they don't all drink wine, should I get something different for them instead or choose a more "nonspecific" favor for everyone?

Also what about children? I would really like to have a favor for the children coming to the wedding, any ideas for ages 8-18?

Thanks :)

We gave mini bottles of tequila and personalized margarita mix packets as favors. We gave one bag per couple or one per single guest. We have 5 kids, but all were under the age of 6 so we gave each kid a coloring book at the dinner table with crayons. I guess you could consider that their favor although we just gave them those to keep them occupied during dinner. I don't think you need to give the kids a favor since it's not like they would be expecting to receive them, but you could do something separate for them if you really want to give them something.

We love coffee, so we're doing espresso cups filled with chocolate covered espresso beans, and we're giving out one per person. As for the kids (under 10) we're filling the cups with jelly beans cheesy.gif

I would probably do something different for the kids if I were you, just because they probably won't care for the wine stopper much. How many children are there in total? If there aren't too many and you know them well, maybe you could just get them a little gift each. For the older ones maybe a picture frame? and the younger kids something they can maybe use during the reception so they don't get bored...like coloring book and crayons?

I went to a wedding last summer and they gave out wine stoppers as favors, one to each couple, it is a nice gift and I appreciated the thought but I know NOTHING about wine so you could make it more useful if you know about wine and could add a little note with them suggesting certain wines or something, just a thought! And it would be perfectly acceptable to give the kids a different gift.

I like wine so i would like a wine stopper. We did tropical photoalbums for each of our guests and used them as place savers too. We only had one child so he got one too. But the age group 8-18 is a hard one to pick one thing for, maybe something like a watergun I think they all would like that and can squirt each other with them the whole trip. Are there any favors that have to do with Cuba? Like cigar cutters for the guys, hmmm i dont know any girl things. what are popular Cuban souvenirs? I really dont know much about cuba.

Are you doing OOT bags? I added some kid stuff to the kids attending our wedding. We stood at an AI so I gave them their own cups with straws, little card games, crayons, coloring books, gum. For dinner we gave them and our kiddos a "Cars" bag with crayons, paper, stickers and glow sticks. It kept them entertained through dinner.

We're going with OOT bags instead of favors. I am doing one per couple and one for each single going. However, some of the items I am putting in the bags, like the beach towels, I am doing one for each guest. I am also planning on making each bag a little bit different so they can be personalized them for each couple/guest based on things we know they like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
