3 weeks and she dropped out

I had the same thing happen to me about three times. I didn't change the programs at all, I just threw my hands up in the air and to be honest no one even noticed.

I know it hurts, but just try and let it go. In the end you won't even remember all the drama or miss her.

Same thing has just happened to me. my wedding guests have dropped from 27 to 8!!! Two had already booked, her hubby was going to give me away, but apparently he'd rather go to a shit drink hole with his mates than mexico so she's coming on her own. Guess I'm walking myself lol

Don't redo your programs - that's not your fault and you don't need something to add to your stress with only 3 weeks to go. You are better off! Just focus on the people that are coming and how wonderful it will be to have them there and remember, it's her loss for missing this special trip and time with you.

We are all with you on this.. one of my BM's dropped out via email and my sister dropped out via angry hostile text. We had a GM drop out bc he just chose to never call FI back; it's been 6 months.

Forgot the programs; wear your new necklace with pride and marry your man! She will regret not coming in the long run and you will have a fab wedding that she will never experience.

It was extremely inconsiderate and cowardly for your friend to drop out of the wedding via text. She should have at least given you the courtesy of a uncomfortable phone call - especially this close to the wedding.

It's good that you feel ok about it, though. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic wedding with or without her!

No stressing!! What's the point? As much as it sucks and it hurts that she would drop out, (especially via text, now that would piss me off), I'm sure she's upset too. This economy sucks, and it's affecting a lot of people. You many not know how tough her financial situation really is, so wish her the best, let her know she'll be missed, especially when sipping those drinks poolside, and move on. Like everyone else has already said, your wedding will be fabulous!

You have the love and support of your family and of your MAN!!

I have talked to her calmly and let her know how upset I was. I left it at that and I feel better. She knows that it hurt me and I can move on and finish planning the wedding. I know losing your job is tough but she has the kind of job that she can replace right away. We are both respiratory therapists. Where I work they have 18 positions avaliable. So even if she ends up getting let go she will find a job quickly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
