I am having a little bit dilemma...my guy has been working off and on this summer due to his job budget cuts so no constant income as now.

 

I am planning to book Claudia Rodriguez's team for my wedding but I just saw photos from Funever photos that The Royal resort use for their weddings...Their pictures are not too bad...They are about $600 cheaper than Claudia but I would get more features out of Funever such as albums and etc. I reallly want to use Claudia but I would have to pay $200 for her and her partner for the day passes and would have to add them to the guest count. We are expecting around 30-40 people. We got a wedding package for 35 people.

 

My issue is that i don't know if my guy will get a permanent job very soon. I have not made my deposit with Claudia yet.

 

I was thinking of using the resort's photographer then use Claudia for our TTD. That would save us about 1k.

 

I really want to use her for our wedding but don't want to put us in debt.

 

Anyone use Funever and are happy with them??

What would it cost you to hire funever for the wedding & claudia for the TTD?

You might be able to fly someone in cheaper.

If you are considering funever, find out who they would be sending to your wedding & ask to see an entire wedding from this person. Not every single picture, but a whole wedding story (like the slideshows people post). You want to know who you are getting & the quality you can expect.

$3799 Funever + Claudia TTD
$4750 Wedding + TTD (Claudia) including two day passes

Both packages are for 8 hours. I could ask Claudia to customize her package to 6 hours then it would be only maybe $500 less.

In our wedding package from our resort, we will get 24 free photos from Funever as well.

You can TOTALLY find someone great to fly in for that amount. It might even be less expensive or you will get a lot more photography.

By the time you plan on a wedding & a trash the dress it's often makes sense to fly someone in.

BDW has a lot of photographers you can check out. Or check with people in your area. many offer a discount for a destination wedding if it's something they are interested in doing.

I checked with some photographers here in Houston and they were more expensive than using a local photographer in Playa Del Carmen. I just have to look around more!

It will vary a lot. Some people will want their regular fee + the cost of travel. If they already have destination wedding experience or are not looking to add them to their portfolio they will charge a lot more. Destination weddings are hard & take a lot of time so it makes sense for people to charge more.

But, if they want the experience or DWs in their portfolio, some people will give you a great deal. I hired a photographer for only a little more than the cost of travel. many brides on the forum have.

Check out the vendor section of the forum & PM some people who work you like.

they are BDW members. Search their name & you'll find lots of info. I have only seen positive reviews.
