Wedding Dress Budget

Recommended Posts

So say your wedding dress budget is max $350....how would you go about finding the perfect dress?

Can I find a dress like that in the bridal shops? Or am I wasting my time going there. Im afraid Ill fall in love with a dress that is way out of my budget!

I think that you can definetely go into a bridal shop; but just be careful of the shop. Some shops only carry really expensive lines; while some have more variety.

I would definetely look into sample sales in your area and/or if the bridal shops you are going to would be willing to sell you their sample.

Just make sure that you tell the sales people your budget that way you aren't trying on anything that you cannot afford.

Otherwise, a bridesmaid dress is a great option. I tried on bunch that were amazing and all came in white!

Davids Bridal also has a great selection of dresses at a lower price point.

It's definetely 'doable'.. it just may take a bigger effort.

tell them right off the bat that you have a strict budget and not to show you anything higher than your top limit.

also, check Nordstrom: Designer Collections and Top Apparel, Shoe and Beauty Brands, they have a bridal section and have several for near $100!

no reason it HAS to be an actual wedding gown, try searching "white dress" and see what you find!

or check ebay. make sure if you do buy something there you are aware of the sellers return policy, or that the item has not been altered yet.

good luck!

- You can go in salons and try some dresses on, to get an idea of the style you like, and what fits you. No salon will look at you weird because you try : you have to try, and most of us go to several places before picking our dress

- don't restrict yourself to designers that are less expensive in the first place... you want to find the cut that you like, first, and second, you might find the dress of your dreams on sale - on the net or on ebay or in a store

- some designers have regular sales, or prices that are naturally lower : check out David's bridal, Alfred Angelo, Mori Lee (the destination collection have dresses that are usually lower than 400$)

- be careful with the website that make copies of designer dresses. it looks like the quality is not necessarily there... However do go for websellers that make sales ! You can do that once you have tried a few on and you know what you're looking for.

Good luck ! It's feasible wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
