i was at a wedding last year and they had a photo booth... it was sooo much FUN!!! We didn't get any tickets, as a matter of fact people used the booth several times... not sure what the package included but if they charge you per picture taken i would definitely give out tickets or something... because honestly, people will go crazy taking pictures, especially as the night goes on.

I recently went to a wedding where there was a photobooth. The couple had just rented it for the night with unlimited photos. They just asked that you cut one of the photos off of one of your strips and put it into a scrapbook with a message for them, so they could see the fun their guests were having.

It was a lot of fun. The machine was VERY old and messed up a few times, but people would stand in line waiting because they wanted their pictures made.

I decided to look into it for our AHR, but the prices I found locally were well over my budget for something like that. Something like $1,000 for a few hours. FI said that he would figure out a way to do it ourselves, but we shall see how far that goes wink.gif

But I say...if it is in your budget, your guests will love it!

I love this idea... but it is expensive and depending on where your wedding is it may be hard to get. I couldn't do this so what I did was take card stock and pre-made little cards that were big enough to hold a polaroid. On the outside I printed a picture of us and our names/wedding date/location (whatever you want) and on the inside left it had a little lovey saying and on the right I pre-cut slits for the picture to fit in. Then we had polaroid cameras there for everyone to get a picture with us and then put it in the card for them to take home. It was nice because it gave them a nice pic with us and most people get dressed up for a wedding and it captured them as well.

If you have anything special at the wedding, like a horse and carriage or something you can have the picture taken of them in it. You can also get picture frames that will fit the pics and do that as their momento. They have the little cameras now that take pics that look like photobooth pics and print out immediately like a polaroid. Anyway, just some ideas.

People love pics!

I did this for my AHR in July and people are still talking about how much fun it was!

Here is how mine worked:

The strips come with 6 pictures in your choice of black or white. (you chose each sheet so not all for the night, KWIM?)

The center has a personalized greeting/logo/message/graphic, etc

The rental was for 4 hours with unlimited pictures.

My company brought all sorts of props - hats, boas, crazy glasses, etc. I brought a message board so people could write notes. (It gets interesting when everyone is drunk)

The company also provides a little "scrapbook" table with different pens, stickers, etc and asked each guest to cut out a photo and write us a message. This was our guestbook.

The regular rental is $1500 I think for the night.

I'll try to remember to take pictures tonight of my album.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
