Yes, I think I dislike my dress. When I put it on I just don't feel anything, except "I look like a whale".

I'm not thin, more on the thick side so I wanted a dress that held it all in and hide what needed to be hidden. Now I feel like a whale in my dress and I feel it makes me look bigger than normal. My mom bought me my dress, which I feel horrible about. One of the reasons I picked it was the price, only $150 and my mom doesn't have alot of money. She LOVED the dress so I went along, I would never admit this to my mom...wouldn't want to hurt her feelings.

Here's the dress but in champagne.
David's Bridal - Bridesmaid F13091 Spaghetti strap crinkle chiffon long baby doll dress with a beaded bodice. Wrap included.

So do I just suck it up and wear it? or do I buy a new dress? Oh yeah my wedding is in 3 months.

If I did not love my dress or feel good in it, I would get another one. The dress is really pretty you could wear it to your Welcome Dinner and get a dress you feel better in for your wedding. Good Luck!

Do what makes you happy. If you want a new dress then start your search soon. I'm sure your mom will understand. Just let her know your concerns. Its a lovely dress. Hope you find the one for you.

Your mom will probably be disappointed, but think of how she would feel if she knew you did not like your dress and still wore it for her ? Probably not good either... of two evils chose the least one. Start by finding a dress you love, then explain to your mom and take her with you to see the new one. Don't just tell her you don't like it... with no other dress. You can rather tell her you found a dress that you loved so much more that you came to dislike the first one...

My mom bought me my dress too. I bought the first one because I liked it & it was cheap. I changed my mind & explained it to my mom why & she said for me to do whatever felt right. So I sold the first dress (took a loss on it, but I paid the difference) & bought the one that I really wanted. It was twice as much $$, but mom was ok with that. Talk it over with her - she will want you to feel & look your best on your wedding day!

That is a very very pretty dress!! I don't want to seem redundant but I agree with the other ladies. Sit down with your mother and explain to her that it is a beautiful dress; but it's just not 'the one' for you. I am sure that she will understand. If she doesn't, then you may have to look into selling it and paying the difference for a new dress.

Either way, its your wedding and you should feel special, be in the dress that makes you feel beautiful.

I agree... the best thing about your wedding is that it is "your day" and you should feel beautiful! When you walk out and your soon to be husband sees you, you want to feel like he thinks you are the most beautiful person in the world and all his. If you are self conscious and don't feel beautiful, it won't be the same. I am sure you Mom wants nothing but for you to be happy.

I agree with all the other girls, this is your day and I think your mom would understand. You need to feel comfortable and beautiful in your dress, otherwise, you are cheating yourself and your special day!

Your dress is beautiful but I think you also need to feel special in it. If you don't feel comfortable in it then you shouldn't have to put yourself through that, especially on your wedding day. I agree with the rest of the girls, I am sure your mom will understand if you told her that you found something that feels more special for you :)

I agree with comments above, it is your wedding day and you should feel gorgeous. I think you should continue the dress hunt and let you mom know you appreciate her contribution.

I know David's has a no return policy, but I beleive this has happened to other girls on the forum and David's may allow you to return the dress and credit it towards another. You should def give it a try.

I am sure your mom wants you to be 100% happy, feel beautiful and confident on your wedding day!
