Hello! I'm a DR bride but uncertain where on the island we're going to hold our ceremony. We know we want to hold it in January 08. Are there any brides who have photos from their wedding in DR? I welcome any ideas. We are considering Bavaro Palace Punta Cana and Paradisus Punta Cana -- we would like to consider Casa de Campo at St. Stanislaus chapel but have a hurdle to overcome with the church so that's a far shot right now since we most definitely want to be married in January. Regardless, we are so excited and can't wait for input, yey! :)

Also, perhaps you can help me... I can't seem to be able to "view profiles". Do you know why this is? My friend/fellow dsw member thought maybe I needed moer points and since then I've increased but still can not view. Thanks!!! :)

I just got married in April in the DR. We went to Cabrera which is about 8 hours (drive) north of Punta Cana to a private villa- Dominican Republic Villas, Caribbean Luxury Villas, Island Vacation Rentals - Sunrise Villa that sleeps about 16, which I highly recommend. Then we went to Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana for two weeks for the first part of our honeymoon and loved it. I have pics on my slideshow of my wedding of the wedding and the honeymoon and would be happy to answer any questions you have. You can ask in here or PM me. Here is a link to my photos:

Hope that helps ;-}

This is my top choice right now for our wedding in July of next year...what did you think? I think we would choose the garden gazebo for our wedding and not sure about reception sites....did you see/get pics of those? What did you think of the room quality?

Thanks so much!

To my knowledge, they don't have a garden gazebo at PPC (they do at Melia and PPR). These are the ceremony site options they've given me.

That's odd...in browsing the candid traveller photos on trip advisor, I came across a wedding photo of a large floored pavillion that was decorated for a wedding.

I can't get the darned picture to the right size to upload!

The poster got married there in 06, so maybe their locations have changed?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
