I just found this site because I am having a Paradisus Punta cana wedding april 25th 2008 and the pics and reviews on trip advisory are not that great.

Does anyone have current pics- because I know they just open the reserves at paradisus punta cana too.

Does anyone know if you can book a booze cruise or snorkeling excurison from the hotel with a private boat

Have you found the PPC links on here yet? There are a few that detail PPC.

I'm getting married there the week before you!!! How exciting!

I wouldn't put much weight on the Trip Advisor reviews. Have you checked out Debbie's Dominican Republic Travel Pages - 1,000's of Resort Reviews, Tour, Scuba and Wedding Information? There are reviews on there about PPC as well as a forum (you'll have to use the Search option to find the PPC threads.

I don't know much (anything) really about the Reserve at PPC, but I do know you can book the Booze Cruise either from the hotel, through your TA or even online (there are several different companies that do those tours).

I'd be happy to help if there's any other information you haven't found on here about PPC or the DR. I haven't been before, but have done A LOT of research and homework and we are thrilled with our wedding resort choice!!!

P.S. Snorkeling is included at the resort.

Congratulations to all the DR brides :)

My mom is a travel agent and I have a lot of feedback on DR hotels. I have been to Ocean Blue and Sunscape in La Romana, so if you need any feedback just PM me.

Just to let you know, if anyone might be interested I am a photographer and I will be in DR Dec 7-15, 2007. So, if anyone has not booked a photographer yet, feel free to PM me OR check out the post in the vendor's section :)

Take advantage of all the activities that are included with your resort packages before going out and purchasing them seperately (such as snorkeling, fishing etc). Lots of times what the resort offers is just as good if not better than the outside tour options.

And if you don't mind getting dirty, spend an afternoon taking the 4x4 tours across the island. You will book that seperately and each hotel concierge should have the info for you to reserve it. It is so much fun. Great for a pre-wedding group outing. You'll see gorgeous beaches, get some great pics, and it makes for a fun afternoon.

Hi -

I am getting married April 16th 2008 at Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado in the Samana region. I am a member or a few destination forum's and have YET to find another bride going (or was married) there. I would LOVE feedback from ANYONE who has been there for a wedding or who was married there.

It's a new resort and Samana just recently got their own airport so that's why I am assuming there aren't many of you out there...because it looks gorgeous! The resort is the only one located on a small island which was the appeal for us - small and secluded!

Anyways, hope to hear back from someone...and congrats to all the DR brides...I have yet to see a resort that doesn't look gorgeous!

That's a great idea about the 4x4 tours. I had considered the Booze Cruise, but I think the 4x4 tour might actually be more fun and give us a chance tof the island!

It seems like I have recently read some info on this resort, not sure though if it was on this forum or Debbie's... I wish I could tell you more ...

Congrats though! We'll be in DR at the same time!!! cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
