Possible Buenaventura Honeymoon???

Recommended Posts

  • 1 year later...

I am getting married at Las Caletas and I am having a hard time finding a place for my guests to stay. As far as pricing, research, and online pictures, BV is one of my top choices. I want somewhere close to downtown (walking distance to Malecon is a plus) that was nice and had AI and EP option. Dreams and Premiere are too expensive for our guests. What are the rules on using Premiere facilities if staying at BV?

When I was at BV a couple years ago, you could use the pool, spa, and one dinner at the Premiere. Things may have changed though so it's probably best to check with you TA just to be on the safe side...

We stayed at Villa Premiere for one night after the wedding before heading up the coast to Bucerias. We got the spa suite and didn't do the all inclusive. I highly recommend it but it was very pricy (the one night was almost the total we spent for a two bedroom two story villa in Bucerias for 3 nights). It came with two massages, a jacuzzi two room suite, welcome massage and drink.

We did the private dinner on the point that night. It cost 150 without the all inclusive and an extra 75 if you have the all inclusive. This includes wine and gratuity. The food and service were amazing. It was so nice to be out there on the grassy point watching the sunset and then the fireworks and just spending time just the two of us reflecting back over the wedding and the week. I know Buenv. and V. Prem. share facilities and meal plans so I would recommend you check on this option if you go with Buen. It is a four course meal. We had the shrimp, salad, cheese soup, lobster, sorbet option and everything was delicious.

Also, I used the spa at Villa Premiere and it was amazing but I have heard Buen. also has a great spa and at a better price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
