ROR what room should I get?

Recommended Posts

We are having our wedding at ROR and honeymooning at CSA. I don't think it is necessary to get a suite at ROR. What room did you get and were you happy with it?

We (and all of our guests) stayed in Jr. Suites. Our first room had 2 double beds and over looked the show stage. That lasted one night! We didn't get any sleep because we could hear the music from the show and the disco and I was not impressed (we flew in on the red eye so I had been awake for 2 stright days at this point!) I went down to the front desk and pointed out that we were there for our wedding and had brough 26 other people along to their resort and the least they could do was give us a decent room. After a bit of arguing, we ended up with a room in the middle of the horseshoe, it was awesome! If you have any say in the matter, ask for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor in the middle of the horseshoe, they have the best views. Book the room category that you will be happy with. don't expect an upgrade.

There is only 1 thing I would look at when booking your room (other than the entertainment factor mentioned above) is where your wedding is. It honestly doens't matter where your room is as long as you are happy with it. My suite was gorgeous but my wedding site - lagoon gazebo - was at the end of the resort and I did alot of walking to the spa, back to my room and then back to the ceremony location.

If I was smart I would have stayed in my room and then brought everything to my sisters room in the Standard room wing at the ceremony site when I went to the spa instead of having to walk all the way back to my room and then back to the lagoon.

We initially had a Jr. Suite (1419) and then were upgraded to a Suite (1261). This wing is considered the deluxe wing and is on the one end of the resort.

I will honestly say the Suite was absolutely gorgeous and worth the extra money!

I booked the jacuzzi suite for three weeks, all our guest stay for the firts week, after the wedding everybody leaves, and we will stay and celev=brate our honeymoon. So we wanted to have the best room possible, because I think we will be up in our room for quit some time :-)

Our first room was right on the beach over looking the beach gazebo, it was absolutly gorgeous. It was room 1264. They upgraded us to the one with the jacuzzi on the balcony but that was way on the other side right next to sandals. It was just as nice but too far away. We did have a problem with our a.c in room 1264 which wasn't working at all and that is why we moved but it was by far the better of the two rooms.

We stayed in a Jr. suite and I think it was worth it for us because of its proximity to the ceremony site (near the beach gazebo), the spectacular view, and our ability to make reservations in all the restaurants. Just my two cents :-)

We stayed in a junior suite for the first few days and then we got a free upgrade to the a jucuzzi suite. You just have to ask politely at the front desk.

I really liked the junior suite better because of the location but if you want to upgrade you need to be polite. While we were there the people in front of us were giving the front desk person a hard time and they were told nothing was available. When we politely explained that we wanted to move they moved us no problem. If you have a junior suite you will be happy. The only difference between that and the suite is the jacuzzi on the balcony.

    • It depends on how far you can go, Can you go out of US for destination wedding, If yes then their are tons of options Ex. Bali,Thailand is becoming the new hot spot for destination weddings, Other one I would recommend is Rajasthan,India It might be expensive wedding but totally worth it the wedding takes place in palaces. If you don't have that much of budget still their are many options available such as Sicily,Italy - get the authentic wedding ceremony in Italy other one i would recommend is going to Spain their iconic scenery are perfect for a wedding. Thanks🙂

    • I hope you have chosen choosen 3d dress too, it looks the best. When my friend was having a Bachelorette Party and we had to find nice looks for the night, it was like a nightmare. Because 4 girls like 4 different styles and it was hard to find the best one. There are a lot of great articles on this topic you can find on the web https://storyofthebride.com/2020/bachelorette-party-looks-that-will-define-the-night/ . But still we had decided on our brain storm that black and white outfits would have the best looking. It was the only one look that everyone shared. So we had not too many options.
    • Well this a kind of situation mostly, It will be awkward situation for your parents, They are mature enough and parent don't want to spoil the marriage of their children. Don't worry everything gonna be fine. just have good bottle of wine for them🍷
