Planning an Oahu wedding from England

Hi!

My fiance and I are currently planning our Oahu wedding from England and would love any advice and recommendations from people. We want to marry on a beach and it will be just the two of us, so photos and videographer are important factors for us so we can show them to our families and friends when we get back.

We hope to marry the first week in June 2009 on a weekday, and have been looking at Waimanalo Beach as our location. We've been to Oahu before (5 years ago) and didn't visit Waimanalo, but from browsing websites it looks like the most beautiful and quiestest beach recommendaed by wedding planners. What do people think? We love also the North Shore beaches, but these locations increase wedding costs too much for us.

We've looked at loads of WC websites for destinations weddings and 'A Hawaii Wedding' appeal the most to us (price and service wise) and they have replied quicly to our email enquiry. Does anyone have any experience with them or can anyone recommend other good WCs?

It's so difficult planning from so far away so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Elle x

Congats on your upcoming wedding! Oahu will be beautiful for your wedding and flights are at a great price right now! We'll be there in March (1week in Maui and 1week on Oahu) and can hardly wait for a few days off of R&R while we're there. The beaches are beautiful.

Waimanalo Beach would be a beautiful choice! How many people are attending?

Best of luck with the plans!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
