HELP - I leave Wed, which wedding dress should I wear?

Recommended Posts

So, my first dress is at my mom's house across the country so I can't try it on again or have it altered. Because I lost a little weight recently, I am afraid it's going to be too big or that I might not like it as much as I used to, so I bought a second dress yesterday just in case! (Crazy - I know!) We are going to bring both of them down. Which one do you guys think I should wear?

#1 is the first dress I ever tried on and I fell in love with it. It is different and very "bridal" to me. It is a Romona Keveza designer dress and cost me an arm and a leg.

#2 is what I bought yesterday at David's Bridal. It's fun and festive, but more typical of what you see all the time.

Also, we are not getting married on the beach, but in a Spanish courtyard at the resort, and I will be wearing a chapel-length veil.

It's the best I could do with the pic of #1. I tried to make it bigger, but BDW says the jpeg dimensions are too big to host.

It is sheer silk organza, with a subtle shimmery thread throughout, very light and airy, with bateau neckline and long sleeves, covered buttons down the back.

I voted for number one because a) its the dress you fell in love with and; B) it cost you an arm and a leg lol.

It's true - it's difficult to see what it really looks like. The second dress is very pretty too. I like the idea of what's been said above: wear both!!!

I voted for number 2. I'm afraid number one won't fit you anymore and now you'll have a complex because everyone told you to wear that one! I actually think they are both beautiful. It'll come down to which fits you and makes you look beautiful when you get down there. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
