3 weeks to go and now questioning my 2nd dress....

Recommended Posts

Ok so we leave in about 3 and half weeks and as I have posted before - I had to get another dress I was not going to have to alter, (or at least not alot) and I had fallen in love with this one dress. So I got it, but now feel like I look like a grandma or something...

I know the style is good for me and I loved it when i found it, just not sure why I am questioning it now.

Maybe it is just nerves? Or could have been that my moms comment was love the dress, hate the hair (it was -30 i was travelling by bus, I had a hat on for like 3 hrs) So maybe now I relate that comment to the dress... AGHHHH

What do you think...

It could be just nerves!!! So, take a deep breath and really look at yourself in the dress... If it's still the dress you love and what you picture in your head when you imagine walking down the aisle; then you have nothing to worry about.

The shape itself is flattering on you; it give you the perfect hourglass sillouhette.

I have to agree. Sorry! Ive got a decent sized chest as well. Not a big fan of that neckline. That being said, it matters not what I think. Its what you think and most importantly, how you feel in it.

Why don't you go get a trial updo (or whatever you are planning on doing with your hair), go to a MACs counter & have them do your makeup - then try on the dress? It's the total package that you are missing here! Maybe send the pic to your mom and ask her if that is better!! I think once you have everything put together you will change your mind - you obviously loved this dress enough to choose it (and as your second dress, you knew more what you were looking for).

As for the comments from the girls above....is there anyway you can modify the neckline to open up the "cleavage" area a bit more?? Maybe insert a tear drop type opening??

Thanks Ladies

I am sure it is all nerves, I am just feeling tired, overwhelmed.

Just want this stupid move over with. I am getting annoyed at the stupidest things...

I will try it with my hair and make up done. I dont like my first dress really at all on me...

Maybe it would be different once I saw it altered but right now i hate it....

I dont right now....

Ok so I have had my mental breakdown and I think I am going to see if I can get my first dress altered - I think what it is, is the 2nd dress does not feel "princessy" enough.

And we all want to feel like a princess on our day right? If I cant well it is fine, I like the second dress, but I think I would rather use it for the reception.

But we will see what happens :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
