Iron on Monogram on Canvas Totes

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

For the brides that already used iron-ons, Did you find any quality lost in your design with the iron-on? I was going to do the same but our logo has a full pictured photo in the background. I was told this would not work on a canvas bag and would be distored? I have been working with an advertising company that may be making my bags for me using a professional type of transfer method. The bags I am considering are a 600 water-proof denier (sp??) that are a little larger and will make a great beach-bag afterwards. They are charging me less than $4 a bag for this. I still haven't placed the order due to me still researching and our logo not being finalized so that is why I am asking.

You can go to any office supply store, such as Staples, Office Max, etc, and buy iron-on transfer paper. I believe I used the Avery brand.
You then print your monogram, using your home printer, onto the transfer paper.
Make sure you follow the directions on the box of the transfer paper. It will tell you to make sure your image is flipped, or mirrored. You have to do that or the monogram will print incorrectly.
After you print it out, make sure to cut as close to the edge of the monogram as possible. This way when you go to iron it on, you won't see the edge's that you cut out, on the bag.

Although the pic is very fuzzy, here was my finished product:

I bought my bags at cheaptotes.com for .99cents and I got the iron on transfer paper at walmart. I bought the Avery ones and since my bags are a natural color I got the light color transfer paper. I have worked on a couple of designs I just need FI to pick the one he likes and I am hoping to start to iron ons this week. I will let you know how I make out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
