Why i will not be getting married at the valentin maya

Recommended Posts

Thankyou all for your concern! You are all right, I am lucky I found out before hand, and now I dont have to deal with them at all! Maybe its a wierd twist of fate, but I just found out yesterday that Im pregnant! So it turns out our destination wedding is being put off for more important things! Lifes funny, and always seems to have things happen for a reason. Either way when it does come time to get married, I will make sure I like the WC first! Good luck to you all.

Wow, how rude! We stayed at the Princess resort in October and I just showed up at the WC's office and she was more than happy to talk to me. She gave me a folder full of information and told me I could call her anytime during the rest of our stay. We aren't going with that resort(want adults only) but it was nice to have someone to talk to and get my questions answered.

So not all WC's are rude and when you are ready to put your DW back on you'll find someone great at a beautiful resort. Congrats on the baby!

This posting really made me panic since if you look, I am getting married at the Valentin in June. Here is the run down on the communication I have had with them.

They have switch WC since I started first Guillermo (a man) and now Lupita (a woman).

Email-Have not had much luck with this.

Phone-I have had many conversations on the phone with Lupita. She has been very helpful and after several calls seemed to recognize my voice.

This is my take on the Valentin (it may just be my hope since I am getting married there!) They are still fairly new and may not be used to dealing with Brides yet. Also they have not made there mark in the wedding world so I am guessing that the WC may have other jobs around the hotel.

I do know that in November they had 2 large weddings going on, one was 200+ and the other was around 120.

Anyway, I will be sure to post an extremely detailed review of my experience!

Wish me luck!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
