Insane Honeymoon Idea

Recommended Posts

This just seems so outrageous to me, but it IS a once in a lifetime opportunity...

Our travel agent mentioned that there are great deals for Bora Bora for the summer, and since we're already in Hawaii, why not go to Tahiti!?! Please someone tell me that this is insane and we should just go to Maui for a few days! I'm probably getting ahead of myself, because we don't even have the prices yet, so it may be completely over-budget... but still... Please someone give me a reason to say NO to Tahiti. I have no idea how to get my FH to let it go. It just seems way too extravagant... rofl.gif

In my opinion, if the price is right, you should go for it! You'll never have the justification again of spending an above-average price for a vacation. And you want a honeymoon that stands out from every other trip you've been on, right? That's just how I see it!

The accountant in me wants us to have a cheap honeymoon, but I know it's a life experience that I want to indulge in and I want to make sure it's super memorable, so I think we're going to splurge a little bit. Nothing wrong with that, right?! wink.gif

Let me know what the prices are when your TA tells you! :)

If it works out financially why not? You deserve it :)

OMG Tahiti and Bora Bora are soooo worth it, if you have good prices go for it ! As you said it's once in a lifetime, and you will have other opportunities to go back to Hawai ! Hawai is nice but Tahiti is so.... amazing ! Splendid ! Honeymoonish ! wink.gif

Sorry this is not what you wanted to hear !

If the price is right... then why the heck not? I wouldn't rule anything out until you have the numbers to crunch. How exciting of a possibility though!

Totally do it. I agree with Heather, this is the one time you can justify an over the top vacation. You will probably never get a chance like this again.

We went to Tahiti (moorea, actually) for our HM. It was fantastic. If you go see if there is any way to swing an over water bungalow. OMG so amazing!

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
