How we met in his words... so cute

Recommended Posts

Now I know we all have wedding websites and had to pull teeth to get our men to write the "our story" part... But when he was finished I was very impressed.

So how did it all start you ask....In October 2007 I was in Toronto on a business trip for Toys R Us counting Barbie dolls. My return flight to Newark was delayed for five hours. I tried to change my ticket and fly into Kennedy or LaGuardia but there weren't enough seats for my whole team, so I decided to wait out the delay in the Toronto Airport. As you can imagine a bunch of accountants stuck in an airport isn't exactly a recipe for a good time. I asked everyone on my team if they would join me for happy hour, every one of them turned me down. That's when I noticed her, making imaginary phone calls pretending that she was too busy to notice me. So this was the moment that my whole live changed for the best.

I walked over to her and asked her if she would join me for happy hour. She said yes. And with the exception of a minor distraction from Carmine the poacher, our first "date" was an absolute success.

I didn't get Kristy's number before we boarded, but I knew there would be other opportunities. After all we were going to be on the same plane and we both had to wait at the luggage carousel. We exchanged numbers and agreed to meet in Hoboken on Sunday to watch the JET game.

Over the next few weeks our relationship began to grow and mature, we both realized that we had something extraordinary. In November of 2007 I invited Kristy to join me on a business trip to Cologne, Germany, she agreed. We learned a lot about Germany and each other. While neither one of us express this, we came to the same conclusion... we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
