I hate the glass clinking, but people do it no matter how hard the bride and groom try to find other ways!! My friend got married last year and made this board with lollipops and if you wanted them to kiss you could get up and pick a lollipop, and the stems were color coded which corresponded with a chart depicting the kind of kiss (ie. peck, with tongue, kiss someone besides your spouse, or choose your fave). You had to answer a trivia question about the couple and if you were right they kissed, but if you were wrong YOU had to do the kiss. It was pretty funny, but some people still insisted on clinking!

We haven't decided what to do yet, but the dice idea sounds fun!!

ugh, i'm glad im not the only one who hates the 'glass clinking' kissing game. you've all got my creatice juices flowing though. I've gotta think of something.

At my brothers wedding they used a cute poem on each table that said the entire table had to stand up and sing a song with the word 'love' in it. One of the funniest songs was..

My bologna has a first name, its O-S-C-A-R. My bologna has a second name, its M-E-Y-E-R. OHHHH I LOVE to eat it everyday, and if you ask me why i'll say, cause Michael Casey has a way with BOLOGNA! (michael casey is my brother lol)

So funnny to talk about to this day :)

I am also not a huge fan of the glass clinking and have been thinking of what we could do instead. I've heard of some people having a rule that if you want the bride and groom to kiss you put money in a jar at the front and all the proceeds go to charity. The amount of money a person donated would determine the type of kiss.

Not only do I hate the glass clinking, I hate the idea of being interrupted while eating my dinner over and over to have to stand up and kiss my husband! All I want after that long day is just to sit and enjoy my food. haha. I was thinking of actually standing up before dinner arrives, saying that we are going to kiss now, so everyone can clink their glases together, and that was going to be our only kiss during the meal. haha. My FI says we cant do that, but I said we can do whatever we want. haha. I will admit that a game would be more fun though :)

i was at a wedding that did trivia - they had to pop a balloon and there was a trivia question in it - if they got the question wrong THE WHOLE TABLE had to come up and do a dance (like the robot, or the guys had to do a sexy dance for the girl) really fun and the whole wedding got really into it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
