Im so sorry for your loss. *HUGS* Im so glad you guys got that dance. What a special moment you can cheerish forever. I lost my dad last May, and was a very new BDW member. I got engaged 2 weeks before he passed. This forum opened their arms to me like they knew me for year, it was so helpful. If you need to talk or anything, we are here!

I'm so sorry for your loss! Its wonderful that your family was able to arrange your dance at Thanksgiving. The pictures were beautiful!

I've tried to think of little ways to feel more connected with my father on the wedding day - without sending everyone into tears ; ) I'm hoping to find a bagpiper (my father was Scottish and loved the bagpipes) willing to travel to Jamaica for the weekend. We're also thinking of laying a single white rose on a chair on each side (my FI's brother also passed away). I'm sure you'll think of your own ways to represent him and your special bond!

Know that we're thinking of you!

I'm so sorry for your loss, I had white roses with a sheer white ribbon tied on them and cancer ribbons hot glued in the middle of the ribbons in momory of our grandfathers , my uncle and a good friend that died right before we left for Jamaica. If I can find pictures I will try and post. We presented them to his mom for her dad, his dad for his father, my grandma for my grandfather and my uncle. It was beautful. THey all cherish them. I used fake flowers so they wouldn't die.... Just an idea... So so so for your loss.
