How much should I spend on my gifts to my bridesmaids?

Recommended Posts

I'm buying the dresses for the girls (I have 5) I also plan on getting them matching jewlery (earings and necklace) Body wash and spray from Victoria Secret, and a picture frame with a cute picture of us in it. They will buy there own shoes... I don't care if they match..

I got each of the girls a beach bag so far...and just purchased the "Mexico" line of OPI nail polish (one for each gal) and a Lolita martini glass glass for each, and probably something from One Pearl....and hopefully a few more little things...maybe a beach towel and sandals..

I am having 7 girls so I have went back and forth on this. We are buying their dresses (Jcrew) and then I will probably spend about $200 on each of them. Most likely a colorful clutch (Im a clutch/purse fanatic), lauren merkin or Lorelei, and if I can I'll throw in a necklace. So looks like around $300-$350?!

i think you girls are VERY generous! i have been in several weddings and never received more than just wedding-day jewelry (and that was NEVER anything from tiffany's or even near that price range, and usually not anything i'd ever wear again). do i just have cheap-ass friends? LOL! now i'm afraid i'm a total cheapskate too!

i am buying my 4 girls wedding day jewelry (so far bracelets that cost me only $10 each, and i will be making earrings to match). i plan on paying for an excursion for them too, so it will probably total $80-$100 each? i paid for the flower girl's dress and shoes. plus they will all get OOT bags like everyone else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
