Question for Married BDW'ers - Did you Under or Over Pack for Your Honeymoon?

Went on a little shopping spree yesterday and this morning and came home with 10-12 new tops and 5 lingerie sets...added to the stuff I already have from last summer, I'm worried I won't have enough clothes for our 2 week honeymoon, so I'm wondering if those of you who've honeymooned found you under or over packed??

I definitely over packed as I tend to do all of the time!!!

We HM'd in Hawaii for 1 week & and I came home with lots of clothes that I absolutely did not even look at much less wear!

My train of thought when I packed was that I needed 2-3 outfits per day. Considering what we did, I only needed to change twice per day definitely not 3 times.

We were on the beach everyday so I needed 1 bathing suit/cover up for the day & then I would change for either going out to tour the island or going to dinner.

Definitely think about what you plan on doing day to day. Are you going to spend the majority of your time at the resort? On the beach/at the pool? Are you going on tours?

I would take what you have so far & see how many outfits you can make out of everything & see if it gets you thru 2 weeks. The 10-12 tops that you just bought pretty much gives you 1 top per day which sounds good especially if you have stuff from last summer. Are you going to have any sun dresses or anything else? If so then I think you're good with those 10-12 tops.

I over packed on dresses and under packed on casual kicking around clothes. And I didn't bring tennis shoes, because i didn't have the room, and I really wish I would have made the room for them. We could have done more activities had we brought tennis shoes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
