Anyone ever have a 1-point bustle?? (PIC)

Recommended Posts

When my seamstress showed me my bustle options, I liked the outside bustle much better than the under neither option. When I picked up my dress yesterday, I was surprised to see it only had ONE hook...is this normal? I guess maybe I should bring an extra strong safety pin in case it doesn't hold up?? EEK - now I'm worried (dress drama is never ending apparently)

Hmmmm.... I suppose that could happen, if your dress isn't too big and doesn't have too much fabric.

Do you like the way it looks? Is it how she showed you it would look?

Mine was very heavy and the hooks were super small and they didn't look like they'd hold it up, but it held up beautifully. Mind you, I think my dres had 16 bustles smile35.gif

Mine is a 1 point bustle too. I think it is super cute! And nice that it is so simple. It just depends upon the shape of your dress. I can't tell how it lays in the back from your pic.

Ohhhh, I am so sorry you have had so much trouble!!!!! I hope the drama stops here for you Neen!

I had a 1 point bustle for a BM dress I wore a while back. It held all night, but then again the train on our BM dresses weren't very long at all.

i had a 3 point bustle on my wedding dress. I'm sure your alterations lady can add a couple more hooks if you want it that way.

I had a one point bustle and had no problems at all. My dress was fairly light, though. But saftey pins and a sewing kit are an absolute MUST on your packing list. It may not be you who needs them (my sis popped a strap on her bathing suit), but it's far better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
