Not too sure when to send out AHR invites..

Recommended Posts

We are getting married April 21st 2009 in Jamaica and coming back home from our honeymoon May 2nd..We are having our AHR May 30th...

I am not too sure when to send out invites for this...I would kind of like to know a rough estimate of who is coming before I go away on our wedding/honeymoon. Also I would like to have some time to be able to call people and ask them if they are planning on attending after not receiving the rsvp....I dont want to wait until May to do this!

When do you think I should send out in the invites and what should the rsvp date be?!

Thanks for your help ladies!

I would send them out about one month prior to leaving for Jamaica. That way you can try and have most of the rsvps back before you go and you will have less to do when you get back.

My sister is doing a 2 in 1 invitation- info for both the mexico wedding and the at home reception. she is then going to have two reply cards so that pple can let her know if they plan on attending 1, both or neither.

Our AHR is June 6th, our RSVP's are going out in the middle of Feb with a middle of April RSVP date. We are sending them out sort of early but summer is a busy time and I don't want people to book up the saturday with somethign else...plus people are really slow with RSVPing so we thought we'd give them a bit more time...and lastly my friends parents are cooking for us so they want to start buying the meat and stuff in early May

Hi, we're just getting ready to send ours out now, we get married in mexico on 22nd april but away 14-29 and having our evening do on 9 may, having a rsvp date for mid march so I've got month to get things sorted before we go as will also need to give our venue a better idea of numbers before we go

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
