Thank you! We did not have our reception inside. We had it outside on one of the terrace's. It not their usual location to have wedding receptions, but the resort was having 6 weddings that day. They didnt have any where else to put us.

Trust me though... 6 weddings a day is not what they are used to. It was only because they were taking Dreams Tulum brides, Dreams was dealing with a closer at the time. I was one of those Dreams Brides. It was a big mess!

But if you are a Barcelo Bride, you will have your pick of locations, depending on how many weddings they are having the day of.

The sashes we used are a dark chocolate brown. It was one of our colors. We had blue and brown as our colors. I showed them a pic of what I wanted. And they did it. The colored sashes are an extra cost though...

Hope this helps :)

We brought a photographer with us down to Mexico. He is based out of Vancouver BC, same as us. Totally worth it! worth every dime. Because then we got to do a TTD session the following day. And those pics turned out great too.

We did bring a few decorations. We brought sea shells to be tossed all over the table. As well as little tin buckets for candles, and our favor boxes. Barcelo provided the flower center piece.

If you do not decide on bringing your own photographer. The in house Barcelo photographers are really good too. We used them as well. It was included in our package, so we took advantage and got some photos from them as well. The blonde woman. (her name I do not know?) was great! She was really good. I totally can recomend her. The video-grapher was really good too. The video is a little cheesy at times. But its such a beautiful keepsake. :)

Happy Planning.

You and your new hubby look great! Thanks for posting the phots. I love the ones on your site….â€Trash the Dress Shoot†I would love to do some like that but Iâ€m worried about my dress getting messed up. I would love to pass it on to my daughter some day (if I have a little girl). Who knows maybe I will just go for it. They turned out great.

Thank you so much! :)

"Trashing the dress" isnt at all literal. My dress didnt get trashed one bit. In fact my dress was cleaner after the TTD then after the wedding day. My dress got SOOOOOOO dirty at the reception. Especially after dancing!!! The bottom of my dress was black. After the TTD the black was almost all gone! I still havent even gotten it dry cleaned... Its in pretty good shape! Good enough shape to pass on to my daughter one day :) (god willing we have ourselves a lil girl...)

Unless your dress is very lacy, I suggest you go for it!!! They are some great shots to have! and TRUST ME you will be able to pass down your dress. It wont get trashed...unless you jump into a mud pit wink.gif

You only wear it once wink.gif might as well get some amazing shots out of it wink.gif

Best of luck!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
