Hello brides,

First of all, please forgive me if i write something wrong, i am not american, hehehe, and i learned english on my own!!!

My fiance and I decided we would get married in Sarasota, on his family condo, with the cerimony in the beach, and i just loved it!!!!! But we still need to wait all the visa process, so i dont have sure about our wedding date, but my question is...what month it is hotter in Sarasota? He says in winter it is very nice, but i dont want nice...i want sun...lol..and an amazing sunset to take pics....I already say that in my country, hot and nice means 111 F! lol...helpppppppp!!!!

I know this post is about a month old, but I hope I can still help. I live in Tampa (about an hour north of Sarasota) and have lived in Florida my entire life. Plus, I'm a water resources engineer so I know a great deal about Florida's hydrology.

December will probably be the "safest" of the two months, but the occasional cold front could make a beach wedding a little too cool (although not unbearable... usually in the mid 50's). Daily highs are usually in the mid 70's, evenings in the 60's, and sky is absolutely beautiful... usually clear and blue. Chance of rain isnâ€t too bad... about 2 inches during December and usually only occurs just before a cold front comes through.

September will likely be on the hot/wet side... average daily highs are in the upper 80's/low 90's, evenings in the low 80's, and itâ€s pretty humid. Itâ€s still hurricane season and will rain quite a bit... 8 inches for Sept on average. Afternoon thunderstorms are very common. The highest rainy months are July and August. Also, be warned... In 2004 we had a horrible hurricane season... 3 major hurricanes hit Florida in September alone! That's one almost every week!

Ideally, the best time for an outside wedding in Sarasota is November. Average daily highs are in the upper 70's, evenings in the upper 60â€s/low 70â€s, and rain usually isnâ€t much of a problem (about 2 inches/month). November is a lot like December only a little warmer and there aren't as many cold fronts.

As for the sunshine... Florida is called the Sunshine State for a reason. Unless there is a cold front coming through, a hurricane, or the typical afternoon thunderstorms, you can guarantee that the sun will be shining!

I hope this helps!!! Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
