who's getting married in Punta Cana/Bavaro

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the notes, Kelly! Lots to think about I guess. I will have to look at the gazebo location when I get down there I guess. Depending also on how many people end up coming with us, too.

Still waiting for that review!! wink.gif

Not alot of flowers, it is a new resort so everything is young. The lake is at the front of the resort and it is surrounded by the restauraunts and the lobby not really a place to get married. The lake also sometimes had a smell to it, also very hot as there is no shade. I am not even sure what they refer to as the gardens, as there is really not much in ways of gardens. The gazebo is surrounded by buildings also it is in the middle of the restauraunts and the buffet on the main path and again has no shade. It was really hot on the resort because it is so young there are no large tree's yet, it get's cooler as you get near the water. I think you should decide on your location when you arrive so you can walk around and decide what is best for you. Book your reception venue though so you get first choice. Iwill try and find pictures of the lake for you, it really isn't a lake it is really a pond with fountains in it. Oh yeah if you want pictures on the beach keep in mind that it is a large resort and the lake/gazebo area is at the opposite end of the Ocean, it could take some time to get back for your pictures, and the resort photographer doesn't give you much time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
