Yikes! I'm in BIG trouble!

I had two huge suitcases filled with wedding stuff plus my brother and my Mom both had one suitcase a piece of my stuff. Not to mention my dress and Fi suit and our carry ons with my jewelry. One of my suitcases was 65 pounds but the lady was so nice and I had my bride shirt on so she let it "slide" without charging us :) It's amazing how much help that bride shirt got me.... Poor DH had to carry my dress everywhere because it was too heavy for me to carry up off the ground. We were a sight.

This thread is really cracking me up!

I was JUST thinking yesterday about the closet in my house where I have all of the wedding stuff stored! I really should start to go through it and really see what I have! I better start letting my FI in on some of my wedding purchases I have made lately or he is going to KILL me when he sees all of the "extras" blush2.gif

I am planning on "nicely" giving my parents and FI's parents an extra bag or two to check for us..hee hee hee

And also I am planning on wearing some sort of "bride" shirt too! :) I will take all of the help I can get!

Thanks Ashli!

Really I am not the type to wear "bride" stuff for attention BUT I am so glad I did. People were overly nice to us and everyone kept saying "congrats" We even had some dude buy us coffee.
Here is a picture of me at the airport- You can't see the other rolly luggage thing but we had two. One for the dress and one for the carry ons. We were a mess and SO exhausted.

A better picture of the bride shirt once we got to Cancun

I also bought my Mom a Mother of the Bride shirt and she said everyone was super nice to her too.

Kelly, I'm procrastinating on going to bed and I keep opening up awesome thread after awesome thread all started by you!!!! How do you have the timehuh.gif

My sister gave me this adorable "sexy little bride" hoodie that I'm totally wearing to the airport. We are only allowed 2 bags with a total of 44 pounds. How the heck is that gonna work?!?!?

Oy vey ~ I think I'll be singing the same tune when it's time for me to pack. You should see our bonus room full of wedding crap ~ it is an absolute disaster. My parents keep talking smack, telling me I have "overbought" tttssssk, which of course I roll my eyes at but then secretly agree with deep inside blush2.gif

I will have to take a pic for you gals so you can see my monstrosity of a packing challenge ~ my next big problem is booking tix on an airline that allows 2 free bags each. So far Delta and United are my choices, but their high fares give me a headache sad.gif

I am sure that we will all be in the same boat...

My adorable MOH basically told all of my BM's (since I have no family local to where I live) that they will be taking an extra suitcase each if needed to help us get stuff to DR. We plan on taking at least one or two extra.. Gosh.. I hope that will be enough. Let us know how it goes!

Can't wait to see your review and pics!

I'm totally procrastinating and hanging out on BDW instead of cleaning my kitchen and getting the laundry done before we leave! Can't a little fairy come take care of it when I'm gone?angel2.gif

I have managed to pack just about everything. I have limited FI to ONE suitcase and that's it! So, we should be able to manage all of our own luggage. Hey, does anyone know when we go thru customs in Mexico if we go thru as a couple or individually?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
